I had just gotten back from a very successful chunk-n-troll on my 'Carcharodon' (www.njtuna.com), sent the charter clients home with tuna...and my friend Doane Kelly calls to c if I'd like to head out on his 31' Boston Whaler with his neighbor Mike. They had never been 'chunking', the seas were calm, so we chopped some butters, got some hook baits and left at 6, arriving Hudson Canyon an hour past sunset. We ended up with three nice YFT, released two swords & dropped a couple of fish at the boat, but what a 'break-in' chunk trip for him, right? That's Doane Kelly, the boat owner in the middle, Mike Centrella on the left & me, Captain Bob Balewicz on the right.
