Bait Shop

The marina is owned and operated by fisherman so we make it a point to carry all the fresh and live bait that is available for that particular fishing season. Whether it is fresh bunker, shedder crabs, minnows, squid or clams, we will most likely have it. We carry all the best names in fishing tackle, gear and marine supplies. If we don't have what you need we can get it quick. Special services for Charter Captains. The bait shop is open at 5am during fishing seasons and we encourage you to call ahead to check on availability of bait: 856-447-3992. We are short stop on the way to Money Island, Gandy's Beach or Fortescue. Just go straight at the "Welcome to Newport" sign.

Boat Slips

SunDog Marina has approx. 70 slips for boats ranging from 12' to 35'. Located on the Nantuxent Creek behind Money Island your boat will be safe from the wind and slop that the Delaware Bat is sometimes known for. It is a short 15 minute ride to the mouth of the bay (including two no wake zones at Money Island). With a clearly marked channel and a average low tide of 4-5' at low spots, you should have no problems making way to the bay. our docks are clean, well maintained, and include a water hookup to flush and wash your boat.

SunDog Marina offers year-round indoor and outdoor storage along with shrink wrapping, winterizing services, spring tuning, outboard repair and all other boat maintenance. We also have lifting capabilities up to 20,000 lbs.

Boat Rentals

The Nantuxent Creek at SunDog Marina offers some of the best crabbing in New Jersey, along with great striper and perch fishing starting in the spring. We offer full day rentals and different sized boats to accommodate your party. All of our boats are fitted with new Yamaha 4 stroke outboards or Evinrude and we offer all the bait, tackle and crabbing supplies you will need. There is a restaurant right there at the marina so you won't have to travel far to get a bite to eat.

16' Carolina Skiff $55 per day, 17' Carolina Skiff $65 per day, Canopy Tops $10 per day

Waterfront Cafe

Come discover one of Newport's best kept secrets! The Waterfront Cafe is under new ownership and has gone throught some really nice changes. Come give us a try!
