When you charter the Sun Daze, it's not just another day on the water it's our way of life. Captain Neil Brosnahan has been fishing the waters off of the Delmarva peninsula since he could crawl. The Sun Daze (35' Contender) is one of the fastest boats in Indian River. We offer striper fishing trips, bottom fishing (seabass, blackfish, flounder), inshore trolling (bluefish, early bluefin tuna), offshore trolling (marlin, tuna, dolphin, wahoo), tuna chunking, shark chumming, overnight tuna chunking, overnight tuna chunk and day troll, overnight tuna and swordfish, night striper trips.

The name Contender is synonomys with fast smooth ride. The 35' Sun Daze is no exception. We get you to the fishing grounds safe and fast. With a cruising speed that is most boats top speed we put you on the fishing grounds before most boats are passing the C bouy. What this means is more time spent fishing and less time spent riding.

Every day on the water is a special day. The utmost in preparation goes into getting ready for your charter. We spend countless hours getting ready for your day on the water. We work hard to make sure that we put you on the meat. Whether that means chasing billfish for the day or a simple relaxing bottom fishing trip.

I have grown up in, on and around the water my whole life. I have spent countless hours fishing, surfing and just plain ole havin fun in the ocean. I hold a USCG 50 ton masters license and am ready to make your day on the water safe and enjoyable. I love fising and I love the water. It is my goal to provide you with a great day on the water.

The Sun Daze Fishing Day

Our typical day begins by pulling out of the slip at 5 AM. It is usually a 50 mile run to the canyons where we will target whatever is biting that day. We are usually on the troll before 8 a.m. depending on where the fish are biting. Our day last until 3 PM where we pick up the lines and head on home. We are usually back at the dock by 5 PM.
