Capt. Mike Pirri and Flying Connie fishing out of Stamford, CT (Long Island Sound) for Striped Bass, Bluefish, Fluke, and Blackfish. Capt. Mike and the Flying Connie offer years of fishing experience on the most seaworthy / comfortable ride of any boat her size. Flying Connie is a Parker 25 Sport Cabin, powered by twin Yamaha four strokes. The hull has a deepvee for a smooth ride, and a full pilothouse for all weather protection. The engine package provides quiet smoke-free power to travel to the fish.
The Flying Connie is packed with fishing & safety equipment.
Navigational Equipment: Chartplotter, second GPS, Radar, newest Furuno fishfinder, Auto Pilot, and 2 VHFs.
Safety Equipment: 6 man life raft, 406 GPS Epirb, flares, huge first aid kit, PFDs for everyone.
The Captain
Capt. Mike has over 25 years of fishing experience and has professionally ran vessels as a license captain for over 8 years. At age 10 Capt. Mike caught his first trophy Striped Bass 42lbs. Capt. Mike prides himself for being known as a safety fanatic.
Fishing Trips
All trips are 5 hours long and cost $500 plus gratuity for the mate; bait, tackle, and ice is included. The Flying Connie carries the best tackle available: Avet MX reels spooled with momoi diamond line, Seeker rods, and Gamakatsu hooks. Customers decide weather to catch and release or take fillets home for dinner. All charters require a 50% deposit upon your reservation. When Capt. Mike cancels a trip due to poor weather conditions the deposit is either refundable or can be used to book a charter for a future date.
