Experience the world renowned ride of a Carolina built custom sportfisher.
HOOKED UP II is a 2006 55 foot custom Carolina sportfisher. It has twin Caterpillar diesels generating 1600 hp. The boat has a 16 foot beam with a huge cockpit of over 225 square feet which is almost double the area most charter boats have.

We have over 40 rod and reel combinations that are custom tailored to the type of fishing we do. We use almost all Penn equipment inshore and Shimano & Penn offshore. Offshore we use bent butt stand-up custom rods made from Calstar and Seeker blanks. We use Shimano graphite TLD 30's and 50's plus Shimano Tiagra TI 16's, 30's, 50's, and 80's for really big fish. We also have a complete stock of fluorocarbon leader material in 25-90 lb. strengths on board at all times to use when the fish are leader shy.

In 2008 we have 9 new custom rods built from Calstar Boomer blanks and which are some of the finest blanks money can buy. All our rods and reels are on the cutting edge of the new generation of lightweight, powerful rods and reels. This includes the new Shimano lightweight Tiagra TI 16's and Penn Torque Reels loaded with Jerry Brown (JB) hollow core Spectra with top shots of Momoi monofilament for offshore fishing. We have 80 lb Spectra with 80 and 100 lb Momoi top shots on these new lightweight, powerful reels. We use Shimano Tallus stand up rods or and in 2008 custom rods built for these reels. We used some of these small, lightweight, powerful reels in 2007 and caught tuna up to 175 pounds on them!! We love to jig for tuna and have all the custom equipment dedicated to this type of fishing on board the HOOKED UP II

We have huge insulated fish boxes and take hundreds of pounds of chipped ice on all our offshore trips to guarantee your catch is kept fresh

HOOKED UP II exceeds all of the SAFETY requirements of the United States Coast Guard (USCG) for offshore charter boats
