For cruising, weekending or even as a livaboard, the 36 Mainship has a great layout, sleeps up to eight, and her semi-displacement hull will happily cruise above trawler speeds.
The 36 aft-cabin, sometimes called the "Nantucket" has been a popular boat over the years and a long production run to prove it. Who else packed so much into a 36 foot boat for living space below and entertaining room above while cruising or dockside. Entering the cabin from the aft deck, you step down into the salon. To the starboard is the settee with a pullout double berth, bordered aft by a built in table and forward of the settee a lower station. The lower station helm is convenient for running the boat from the inside, although the boat's full enclosure will protect you from weather on the flybridge. The boat's generator power and reverse cycle heat and air-conditioning will aid in the comfort of running below. Stepping forward and down from the salon you enter the galley to starboard and convertible dinette opposite. All the way forward is the guest stateroom with a double v-berth, and a guest head. Aft of the salon you step down into the master stateroom. The master stateroom has a centerline queen berth and private head with a shower.
