The 46 Super Sport, Ocean's new model for 2005, acheived a new goal in both layout and design, inside and underwater. Following the departure of Ocean's popular 3 stateroom 48 Super Sport, the 46 has three staterooms, two heads and manages to feel even bigger. Taking the fifth generation hull design starting with the 57 and later 50, the deep-v hull in the 46SS provides a great ride; running true in both head and following seas and taking a quarting chop in a predictable manner. This hull responds to more input from steering and trim tabs than hulls in the past, enhancing the helmsmans control over the ride. Entering the salon, there is a "L" shaped channel back settee trimmed in rich Chocolate leather (with rod storage and pull out berth), a barrel chair opposite covered in the decor scheme's "Cinnabar" red fabric. A clear salon cover protects the carpeting underfoot and Amtico teak and holly sole has been set in the salon's entry (no dirty carpet), the galley and heads. The galley is forward to port in the salon, with Sub Zero drawers for convenience and a clean look and opposite of the galley is the dinette also in Chocolate leather. Going below, the master stateroom is to port with an island queen, 20" LCD TV, stereo system and private head and shower. Forward, the is the VIP stateroom; featuring a centerline queen with private access to the guest head. The third stateroom is amidships to starboard, with a good size double berth. This room also holds the washer/dryer in a teak trimmed cabinet.
