Bill--you would not believe some of the colors I see dragged around this corner of the ocean. We have a bunch of home made superplungers, copied from the Joe Yee--pretty good imitation job. It was skirted with orange & bright yellow/white when I got it. left it on there, but left it in the drawer too!!!! threw it out one day & something climbed all over it. whenever I get out the lures, it goes out on the short corner. about 5 of the sails & the rat blue whacked it yesterday.
Glad you asked though----the sails have been coming up on, er uh, how do I tell you this.
Squidnation squids!! the pink/purple squid you got has been very hot. the 500 lbs blue tried to eat the whole chain the other day! so many sails are raising to it, that I had to change my spread about 3 weeks ago. I was running 2 short lures, 2 teasers, 2 ballyhoo. Besides the clients being slow to the pitch bait for the teaser fish, the lures weren't doing much for me--at least they were not getting bit. So, I pulled em out & put 2 flat line ballyhoo out. they are positioned so that I can drag the teaser up past them & most of the fish are cooperting & eating it.
but the pink/purple combo has been HOT.
fished today, will post a 2-day report after tomorrow.
