But My favorite from 2010!
I love a good WAKE!
Believe it or not I had the leader on the rod in about 3 minutes. Of course the fish wasn't ready for wiring yet so it went deep and airborne a couple of times each. Thats when we got this shot. We had leader securely in hand another 30 minutes later. Unfortunately the 130 lb. leader broke while wiring so I wasn't able to get the glory photo with bill in hand.
The rod was a 5'2" 400 gram OTI that worked really well. I had plenty of lifting power (see photo below). The Saragosa reel was a different story. I broke the gearing about 10 minutes in and was only able to actually turn the spool about 20 percent of the crank. Am saving up for a stella now.... Main line was 100 lb. diawa boat braid. The fish hit a trolled Heru ulua 150 stickbait set 100 yds. back in shotgun position. Everything slams this lure...I'll never put anything else in shotgun position from now on. I only have 4 larger trolling set-ups so the big jig rod gets shotgun duty when it is time to cover some water. Actually landing a marlin on a jig would be a dream come true!
Glad everyone likes the pic!

Two of my Favorites.
How do you know it's not there if you can't see it?
