Anthony's Ark is a blowboater
Young School BFT/Outer Butter Fish Hole
My brother and I headed out of Montauk yesterday for our first offshore trip of the year, (having just ran the boat 75 miles from the North Shore of Long Island). We were planning on fishing the Tails/Dip area but with a questionable weather forcast and thick fog in the morning, we decided to stay a little more near shore.
We worked the 30-40 fathom lines down around the Outer Butterfish Hole than NE towards Jenny's Horn.
Seas 2-3, water temp 73, blue/green with no breaks.
We hooked up three young school BFT around 25-30 inches later in the day which were released. All hit 4 inch squid daisy chains off the flatlines.
Although we would of liked to have had some tuna for the table, we still had a great day for our first trip of the year.
Tight Lines,
Don
