Ok Tuna guys, got a couple off questions
First, what do you guys consider to be the best bait and/or lure when targeting YFT?
Second, what should I look for in the water besides the usual weed lines, birds etc?
Thanks in advance

i think it depends on what kind of bait there is in the area but you can't go wrong with ballyhoo..
in the northeast we have a lot of squid so we pull a lot of squid bars and they work well..
where squid aren't as prevalent, they don't do as well...
if catch one, cut its stomach open, then try to match your lures/baits to the contents as best as you can.
last post was me.
adam, you didn't sign out last night.
That picture is just sick. I'll bet that's a helluva ride the first minute or two after that spear sinks in.
Another thing to learn... Learn to scan your sonar for fish. If you see a mark, mark it on your gps and circle around on it a few times. Sometimes when they are deep, spinning a circle on them will bring them up. With practice, you'll be able to tell which marks to concentrate on and which to pass up.
