Talking YFT & Mahi South Poormans

Ran down to the Poormans yesterday. The water was 72.3 when I started. I worked my way down the line South. I nailed a nice fat 40 lb. YFT on a green machine spreader bar. I pounded the area in 400 feet of water where the most bait was. The water heated up to 74.5 in no time and the bite shut down.
I heard of a few Marlin bites just North of the Washington. I slide further down the line and picked up a few nice Mahi. The water was 77 degrees and blue. There was a TON of life out there yesterday, Dolphins, Porpoises, Turtles, Whales & Sun fish.
It was a Flat Calm beautiful day out there yesterday. I ran 40 Knots on the way back. I logged 288 miles round trip and burned 150 gallons of fuel, gotta love 4 strokes

Way to go Jerry. I wish I made the trip. Glad you put some meat in da box. It had to be beautiful offshore yesterday. I hope this life holds up for the season. We could use a good offshore year.
    Thanks for the report.
