hudson 20 miles away I had Andy and his son TJ 9 yrs old and josh on board
got the lines in and with in two min later a whaoo comes blasting thru my
spread and cuts in half my port short rigger spreader bar and out goes a new
one start heading to the notch then bam its the long fin invasion hitting every
line out there then swong around to the pots and pick up two 20lb dolphins
bull and female and a 10 pounder and started heading back to the tip and the
yft started hitting Tj got his first 50 longfin reeled it in like a champ and this

Wow, you know how to make good use of a short fishing day. i figured you may have slipped out there.

My report - what a difference a day makes.... Set up on the chunk at 100 square at 8:30 saturday nite. Had all kinds of bait including 300 live peanut bunkers. NO DICE. Our only tug was a decent size shark that took a tuna bait. Surprisingly it didnt chew the leader, but must have whacked the mainline with its tail after 20 minutes and a long run. Heard of only 1 yellowfin taken on the chunk

Up on the troll in the a.m. Worked the 100 square and north, then covered the whole east wall. 2 bites, both longfin which we boated. 2 fish seemed to be about average for the fleet, the fish were only coming up one at a time.

Water 76 throughout and a little greenish

Headed for the barn at noon
