Is there enogh bait to support many large YFT's? Do the large YFT like warmer water, than lets say small YFT? maybe is has to do with the food, althrough fishing pressure has alot to do with it.

I read something a while back about east coast yft being spawned off of guinea and circulating with the gulf stream current as they grow, young age class fish off of our coast and maturing as they make the circle back toward africa. This would mean large class fish off of the flemish cap and then maybe the med or azores?? Kinda like the bft migration.

Any knowledge of the class fish caught in these locations?

Interesting line, back in the days, in South Africa from Rooi kraans ledges in cape point they would pull 200 lb+ yellow fin from the bank 60's, commercials sorted that out quickly,
Also remember coriolis effect on tidal currents clockwise north of equator anti south, so movements along with nino's and Red tides pull and push our stocks alot.
Interesting that a lot of semi tropical fish turning up on the UK beaches parrots etc anyway a side issue.
