2500ft of anchor line to hold!!
How much chain on the front of that? Pounds and style Anchor?
Do you keep it on a drum? or your chain locker? I assume that you have 1000 yards 1/2"? Is it all one length or do you keep adding via shackles?
Serious question's these. I'm not trying to be "clever" as I'm trying to work out how much line you guys take out for a night chunk in deep water and hold the bottom, lets say you run in to the 300 line?
Great report by the way catchem up
    Thanks

I had a fortress aluminum anchor (large one) with 25 ft of chain... I keep the anchor and the chain underneath in the rear bilge area and i also keep all the anchor line across the bow and tied up.. I lay it across the bow seating in front of the wheelhouse and in front of it.. We carry 3000ft with us at all times.. yo ujust never know.. We were drifting back so fast i could not get it down and the chain and such would not help! i was bad man! i have never EVER seen the current and such rip this hard out there! it was unbelievable..

does your "friend" wear earplugs when you are fishing so he doesn't have to listen to you? if you came out with me it would probably turn into a one way trip out and a long swim home
