If your mind melded to a green machine for the WWWB, me personally, I would use a weighted green machine alone or add it to your chain. If your not tight on the GM, use the heaviest lure you have short of a Wahoo Bomber.

Capt, if you have the bars on the short rig and the islander ammo on the outside of them, no center rigger? if not I've always like to run something big down the center back. Either a moldcraft chugger or a large slant head(Bart's). That Green machine if it's weightedwould be okay down the center to no bird , but if you want to move one of your islander's from the long rigger and play both of the insides of your bars with that, then take the green machine or abalone streaker by it's self behind the bird and run it long off the long rigger behind everything. You be surpised how many times if your spread gets hit that you last chance pulls through. Plus we have had several blue marlin hook up on that trailing bird when YFT are hooked up in the spread. You said you want to target BFT, did you ever run a plug? Yozuri or Mann's . Yozuri you can run out of the package, mann's you have to beef up. That might be a pairing with the down rigger.

I am an inveterate "BarHead" and have been for many decades. I find hollow squids easier to troll and much lighter than Green Machine bars. Here are a couple of our bars that I really like when "green is the scene". I will also run the same bar with pink chasebaits and a bigger, 9 or 12" green chasebait. The composite bar runs out of the water except
WWB. A bait and switch pair is shown. Add chasebaits to the bars for standard bar trolling. If you want WWB, our Spiders run with the bar out of the water further back than any that I have ever seen. I don't favor bars in the water unless we're talking a dredge.
We quit making, using, and selling daisychains long ago. The reason is below.

If anyone would like to see the bar I posted about above running and catching fish, see if this will open for you. If it doesn't, go to the "spreader bar..." post up a ways.
Check out what a good handle that little, light, unbreakable bar is.
No big tunas, but I promise, they are coming on video soon.
Never mind. Won't post. Try the other post if you're interested.
