this question comes to mind alot, if you didn't pull a certain lure or a spreader bar etc last year, will you re rig it this season , or just put it out there as is ?????

All my spreader bars and lures get rerigged every year even if they were not used the previous year.
On a spreader bar the drop squids from last year are OK but down the center where the pull is is changed every year and during the season after a fish is caught.

Same here.
There are some lures that for whatever reason i end up not dragging at all during a season. Mostly back-ups like Ilanders, GMs, Feathers, Bally hoo rigs. Those are ALWAYS stored in ziploc bags and NEVER come out unless they are needed. If they come out of that bag just once whether they touch the water or not, they are re-rigged.
Lures that are used trip to trip are stored in mesh pocket bags. NOT PLASTIC BAGS. Plastic bags cause condensation and humidity to form. The mesh bas are good in that they allow the rig to dry out. This is ESPECIALLY important with stuff like Ilanders and Feathers.
1) They always get rinsed with fresh H20. (goes without saying)
2) Laid out to dry on a towel on the work bench in the garage
3) Once dry stored in a mesh lure bag
4) OUTSIDE THE TACKLE BOX, the only time they go back in is right before we leave the dock
