In order to help boats conserve fuel, the White Marlin Open has amended General Rule I D. Boats may now pass the sea buoy at the Ocean City Inlet, Indian River Inlet, and Cape May Inlet no earlier than 3:30 a.m. instead of 5:00 a.m. Allowing boats to run at a slower, more economical speed to reach their fishing destinations can reduce fuel consumption up to 1/3, thus saving money. All other tournament rules regarding fishing times remain the same.

We will be thinking of you while we are still sleeping, it doesnt matter to us 25 or 35 kts the burn is the same for us Hopefully the new boat will be done in time for it! If not .

jersey, in an emergency......a Hubris windbreaker is also a life preserver. and the kevlar lining stops bullets above 220 or 221 which ever is bigger. right now im working on a new design, next years model will also act as a parachute. i know this is a fishing site but like howard hughes im looking to aviation to spring us into the next century. wear it in health. peace.

Good rule change.... but it definately will not be the same felling monday morning, not having all the boats lined up and all the spectators down at the inlet watching. We definately had our close calls but it was a rush!!

Does anyone else remember quite a few years back during the tournament when a commercial boat came back in through the inlet with the riggers still down while we were all lined up?!!! Talk about scrambling
