day1- I fished my first day on Monday and didn't have a bite in some snotty seas in the Washington. We trolled down sea for 30 miles since my charter was seasick and didn't want us to turn![]()
. Luckly downsea was towards home.
day2- Got a late start on Tues. and didn't leave the slip until 6:00 so we headed towards the Poormans and start in 40fa. The water looked terrible I worked out to 300fa and the water still was GREEN.Again no bites.

day3- Thurs. Decide to try and go out and try to catch a tuna for the last day since the billfishing was so SLOOOOW for me. We started near the chicken bone and caught a 59" bluefin on the WWWB after an hour fight. I circled back around the numbers and had another bite on a WWWB and though we had a small fish since we got to the leader in 15 mins. Then I saw em and said Stick that mother******. It took two of us pull em in the boat and it was a 66.5" bluefin. We started to troll towards the beach then since I wanted to get to the scales ASAP. We had two more bites in the fingers but didn't get them. Pick up the lines at 2:15 to catch the scales early. The fished ended up weighing 176.5lbs good enough for 3rd in the calcuttas (about 35,000)
