Yep...thats going to get the double up and or thicker bullhide..the hash marks will get filled in with the "new slip-not" material and re-inforced in several places..I pulled pretty good on 400# test to see where the weak spots were..

The photo shows where 4 heavier strips will be sewn in to protect the bottom of the hand and pinky joint. Sewn and stripped to mirror how your hand folds as it closes so it won't stiffy it up too much..all Kevlar thread of course..

The good news is these will be a CanyonGear product.."Game On" wiring gloves..seems to suit them..

    i'll keep ya posted..

    out..

CG...nice prototypes there...yeah, if u can wrap the area from little finger to inner palm...that may be the shi-shi.
Double cottons have worked for me just fine, and I'm no giant either. The orange (nemesis) glove should be dis-banned from the sportfishing world...IMHO......unless, like Rodski said....replace u them weekly...or can u say daily!
Needless to say, CP is THE man and the backwrds wrap looks so easy on his hands...and I think once u master that (still stugglin' myself) the pit world is a different place with any fish....let alone any big or bigger fish.
I have used 'em all and the dbl cottons (mono) with rubber bands on the upper wrist wins, but that's just me. Now if piano wire or cable is involved I'll donn the shunken welders with cottons over 'em...finger-tips removed.
Got some of the thousand pounder gloves, with gauntlets and have not had the chance to truley put 'em to any test.
Have to break 'em out before the next hurricane party, along with rodski's jet ski idea....classic idea,

try having real big paws and have to find gloves that fit!!!

basically the only time it sucks to have big hands and then add on all the years of fishing and messed up fingers from wire anyway! Most wireing is finess anyway and we do our fair share of tagging sharks and inserting / operating on them on the side of the boat to install pingers... we have done swordfish, sharks and if'n the girls can do it without hurting themselves... anyone can! the faster you get the job done the better for the fish. We catch every fish on a hand line so your going one on one for the whole time... and if my wife can do it with a good fitting pair of gloves so can you guys! Yes I get pissed when they start that 'look here for the pic' stuff .. most all the marlin and swordfish rod and reel stuff we do though is with windon's though and you crank them right to a gaff or harpoon shot. tuna fishing or wahoos with a shock cord is the only other long leaders we still use though in 2009.. sorry for not having the mako tag pics but you have a bit more to do on your list when you fish / tag them ..

Allen always great fishing around you!

I don't know how many 'bonita's' you wired off the wire line alone in your younger days ....hahahaha (remember making kingfish strips???) but that was and is the fish I teach the kids of today how to wire with .. and I smile a bunch when they get it right! some tend to look like 'jerry's kids' though! all wrapped up and line cuts ... funny how you look back and figure out that your getting older but I smile my butt off just being me! by the way how old is your lil happy butt now??? you are and forever will be older...

PS: I do like the ones that tell you "I don't need any gloves..."

My personal favorite gloves is a set of old tube socks that I use. I have drawn a picture of Socko (after my hero Mankind) on each one and the fish know they are in for it when they see them!!!
