    Wilmington report "Well sorta"

My first offshore trip thisb year was with Chad and his dad Ray Nichols on the bulletproof. also fishing with us was Chads buddy George. Pulled a Roffs report tues afternoon and they had predicted good conditions near the tip of the wilmington with a band of bluish water stretching south to the Heyes North and south canyons. Afterr a eary radar glitch we broke cape may around three am. Started to look for the water and all we could find was mostly green water around 6:30. Found some high fliers and decided to see if anly mahi were home. Put one in lost one so we went down the line checking things out but none other could be found. Started trolling down the west wall, well this was the beginning of a long uneventful day. Never did find the good water untill late in the day down by the north and south Heyes, we had good life turtles tuna chicks sitting on a slick and started to finally have marks of bait and bigger fish, but we had limited time to work the area so we trolled it for a while and than had to pack it in. So we had a long trip with not much to show for it but had a great day with good friends for some saltwater therapy. I'll be going out again sunday. Good luck to all this weekend, Thanks Tim

Thanks for the report. The past few weeks have been slow in the area, let's hope it picks up soon.
