We started around 7:30 AM at the tip of the Wilmington and worked to the east notch. In the first hour or so we got covered up with small yellowfins twice and caught 1 gaffer. We then worked offshore to see if we could find some better water or bigger fish. We got off as far as 900 fathoms but never had a bite or found decent water so we turned around and headed back into the east wall. Once we got back on the edge we had consistent action with small yellowfin and slingers. The area from the tip to the east notch was loaded with bait from the surface down to 150 feet and all our fish were full of squids. We ended up with around 25 bites and caught 9 yellowfin only 3 were keepers in the 30-40 pound class and 3 dolphin. All our bites were on a green and yellow Stalker TT5 bars, Stalker 6 inch rainbow squid bars and naked swimming ballyhoo rigged with 7/0 Owner SSW circle hooks.
