I was down in the MHC area all last week. I have a 21ft Parker aka Beaufort Cadillac. The weather was pretty rough so we were limited on where we could go. Saturday we decided to troll between Big 10 and NW Places. We picked up 3 Bailers, 3 kings, and 4 albacore.
The next time we decided to head out it was Tuesday. The marine forecast called for 2-3 foot seas dominant period 8 seconds. The offshore forecast that morning was for 2-4. WRONG....very WRONG. We left the inlet at mach 4 and didn't even need to let off till about the 8 buoy. We got to the 14 bouy and stopped the boat...at that point we realized that the wind was getting stronger and we were looking at 5-7 footers. We decided to turn around and troll in slow with the seas. 20 seconds after deploying our spread, wham... 30 lb Wahoo (first wahoo I have caught on my boat). Lines back out and wham King (18 lbs). lines back out, wham (king 8 lbs). Lines back out, and the drag went screaming. I looked at the TLD 15 with 80 lb braid and the line was almost gone. We turned the boat and gave chase back out to sea and made some ground on the mystery fish. Finally he showed himself with a tail walk and a greyhound. He was about a 60 lb sail. Got him worn out and beside the boat. Ready to touch leader and get the catch. leader 20 feet away, 15 feet away, 10 feet away, pulled the hook.
OH Well we'll get another one some day on my small boat.

And I have been out there in worse in my boat, and have been confident in the boat. The Parkers are very well built boats but I doubt I buy another one,if nothing else you can't get chit for storage and even on the 25's you still can't get a head or much storage in the console, and the fr.deck is raised ???? But there boats are built like a TANK!! Congrats on your catch!!
