"There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the shore like an idiot." --STEVEN WRIGHT
he has been in Isla since December and any one who knows what the fishing is like, well, alot of suppiles are used and they go through alot of equipment. He is using a wooden dowel, but an arrow blank makes life easier. other sport boats also look to help each other out, sometimes items are lost or misplaced and need to be replaced
over 75 to 85 baits are rigged per trip, a pen would work in a pinch
The mexican mates also look for arrow blanks, A boat tee shirt is a nice tip for some of the locals, they all enjoy wearing boat tees
I was down there last week and I forgot to pack the blanks that he asked for.
Guys, there are no tackle shops, no sporting goods stores, one hardware store, one 7-11 that is nothing that we are use to. Alot of the Capts and mate relay on others bringing suppllies and equipment down.
Tim, How the hell are you???

No, I am going to wait until the St. Thomas trip. I am allowed to go even without owning a 40 plus foot boat
Hey Digger, how's it going?? Haven't talked to you in forever!
If I hear of anyone heading down I'll let you know (unfortunately it's not Me or Chuck). I have them in the shop so let me know if you do want me to just send it; how hard is it?? Never sent anything to Mexico before.

Hey Mary, hey Chuck. I am doing just fine, so is the family. As you see, Candyce is getting married![]()
I would send the blanks down if it was easy, it took 4 weeks for him to get a package the last time I sent something. I even had a boat that left florida deliver something to him.
Imagine, he fished at least 50 days down there!!!! they are using alot of equipment!! and relaesed alot of fish.
Happy to hear from you, give Grady and Maxie a hug (or a rub on the head!!)
will see you soon, I plan to fish with the short man since the boat will be in florida this summer.
