255 Boats entered the tournament and 238 fished on day 1. Scales opened at 4PM. Sportfishermen.com was there with live coverage of the weigh in The first day set a record with more than 60 fish being weighed in. Many boats waited more than 2 hours in line to weigh fish. Cory Bubb of Mill Hall , Pa fishing on the Sea Toy weighed in a 53.5 lb dolphin which remained the 1st place dolphin for the tournament. Timothy Warner of New Park Pa fishing on White Lightning weighed a 51.5 lb dolphin which would hang oin for 2nd place.Trey Little of Rockport,Tx on the Scandalous weighed a 790 lb blue marlin which would end up second overall.the only other money fish from day 1 was a 76.5 lb tuna weighed by Travis Boone of Freeland, Md fishing on That's Right.
Day 2 was the big day for Money fish. 230 boats fished that day. as soon as the scales opened Let It Ride weighed a 1010.5lb blue marlin caught by Jazmes Kontos of Co. It was the second GRANDER ever in WMO history. The fish would take $423,029 for first place blue marlin. The 3 top white marlin would all come in on day 2. First a 92lb marlin by Tommy Fowler on the Sea Toy which would end up second. The white marlin lead changed 3 times between 6:30 and 7PM. Kingfisher ended up with the 3rd place fish at 80.5lb. The Shelly II with angler Brian Roberts of Brlin, Md hung the $856,506 winning marlin, a whopping 97.5 lbs.
Day 3 and 4 made no changes to the leader board. Most marlin were released because the leading fish were so large. On the last day the changes occurred in the tuna division. Trey Little on the Scandalous weighed in a 77.5lb ,$283,168, tuna to take first and Lucky duck weighed a 73.5lb tuna for 3rd place. Banshee weighed a 47.5 lb wahoo, the only one of the tournament. 552 white marlin were released and only 38 were weighed in.
