    White Marlin at the Jack Spot 7/03



    Old neighbor of mine Joe Grigsby and his daughters, Emily and Caroline and myself headed for the Jack Spot to try for a BFT and little did they know what they would see or me for that matter....at 7:10 a white marlin came up in the spread and ate the flat line and started pulling out line and putting on a great show for all of us. Got the fish to the boat for a clean release. Right on top of the NE side in 55' of water. We then picked up and ran to the Hot Dog and caught a YFT and a nice Mahi.
    Congrats to Joe on His 1st White Marlin!

    nobody caught a bluefin until after 11:00. although i marked more at the 2nd lump than on the jacks spot

    we pulled lines at 10:15 and ran ne to the dog just as the rain set in.
