As I had put earler in the week i was either charter fishing or fishing this sat...either way i was going fishing an i did. I got a call from my good friend ross that he was moving his boat up here to rudee and he wanted to fish for nothing but marlin on sat os we were set.

On sat morning we cleared the inlet around 440 and scrapped our plan of heading south to pur new plan of heading north to a little batch of water that i saw thru bleary eyes at 230am on my pc. We were greeted with a swell long enough that you had to pay attention to not launch off of it. The boys rigged the dredges and the circle hook rigs while we trugged along for the 70+ mile trip. The GPS was steady counting down numbers when we jumpped acros the 40 fm line and i say slicks, birds, sulfer and bait on top of he temp change of 2 degrees. so i pulled them back and looked around for a minute anddecided lets give it a shot. The guys didn't miss a beat and before i knew it we were set we weren't really settled in when the first whilte fired in on the stbd teaser all lit up hot an bothered then a hook up and a pull off...oh well the second we got 15 min later flatline pop drop back hook up and away we went looked for a second then back we went and on to a release. This followed on most of the day i think that the ongest we went was an hour without some type of action. We saw bailers on turtles, tuna tearing up 7-9 in squid with hoos underneath and a realy pissed off mako that decided he wanted 3 squids and an islander off of the teaser. In the end we fell in on average with the fleet but it was the people onboard that made it fun, no yelling or bitching just fun!
I don't think i ever seen somone so locked on and ate up with whites as ross LOL

Final tally was
saw 8
hooked 6
released 3
