    Where's the break?

Some years it seems the gulf stream hits the Northeast Canyons in April, but the seas keep most of us weekend guys from heading offshore. Then this year we get the double whammy of both rough seas and winds nearly ever weekend and shelf stuck with 65 degree water and a gulf stream 60 miles off the shelf and not in hurry to move in. Looks like another weekend of working on the boat and possible inshore bottom fishing. Really looks like July is going to be the start of offshore fishing this year. Last year we picked up 2 bluefin and 5 yellowfin at the Wilmington on Labor day weekend.

What is the latest anyone remembers the gulf stream coming in? or being this far off the shelf?

Just curious because these reports coming out of North Carolina have me more then a little jealous.

Well, up in SJ (Cape May) I caught a BFT on Fri during the SJ Shark tourney! So that's a really good sign! I'll post some reports as soon as we go out and target them!
