Where would you fish in October???
I am planning a trip for the first week of October and i am looking for suggestions...
We have all couples going, where all the men are trying to get a good day or two of some offshore pelagics and the women are content to hit the beach or shop or (who cares)?
Anyway, any guidance would be appreciated.

If Ignorance is bliss, Why aren't more people happy?
For Wahoo, it doesn't get any better than Morehead in October... There are usually some Sails and Mahi still around.

actually like Hatteras in Late October and November, live bait monster kings and if you want to run out a bit theres usually plenty of blackfins and yellowfins

St. Thomas, USVI
St. Thomas. 1st week in Oct. is full moon and blue marlin bite in Oct. can be off the charts. Calm seas then, fewer people. Girls can go to St. Johns or BVI's. Great hotels and resturants on east end near American Yacht Harbour.Girls will love it and you and you may see epic marlin fishing.

Team Canada Rocks!
Puerta Vallarta would get my vote as well with Capt. Josh. We went a little early in sept but still caught yellowfins between 40 and 180lbs. When oct rolled around the place went nuts with good marlin bite and cow yellowfin
Stateside - I like Carolina in October.

I think Admin is going to let me have this space
My choice would be Mexico. Either PV with The Josh Monster, or La Paz with Fishermens Fleet. La Paz is a beautiful, laid back part of The Baja and is the capital city of Baja Sur.
Cabo is available and really nutso, but October is tournament time and great boats like Extraction will probably be tournament fishing.
If you go to La Paz you might be able to swing a ride over to the incredible, and I do mean incredible, Magdalena Bay for a couple of days of live-aboard fishing on their big boat for the boys. It's not a great spot for the girls, but they will love La Paz and their Fishermens Fleet hosts, who I'm sure would take care of them while the boys were up at Mag, having their minds blown by the wide variety of gamefish there. Full moon time is wahoo time down in that neck of the woods and remember, the last two world record 'hoo came from The Baja, including the recent 173 pounder. Check with David Jones, fleet owner at fishermensfleet@hotmail.com
Of course, JT is an entire event, all by himself. And his ride, Maximo, is a purely world class machine and the PV fishing can be spectacular too. And PV itself is a very neat town.
***Remember, as always, wherever you go, you get what you pay for and perhaps that is especially good advice when fishing in Mexico.***
No question in my mind - Mexico Lindo! ("Mexico the beautiful")

I've only lived through his writings but if I were you I would go to fish with Josh Temple as stated by Bill and Fred. If you have not checked out Josh goto the My Kind of Madness forum here and immerse yourself in his world. I've fished hatteras with Harpers Folly in Oct. before and it can be unreel just not a whole lot for the ladies. Good Luck Tim
