Fish had pretty good manners. He came in uninvited but then showed himself out as soon as everyone starting yelling at him.....

This was on the Great Barrier Reef in 2007. Boat was the "Maritimo 55" (the "Maritimo 50" had sunk in a fire earlier in the season! Sharky saved everyone's life in that one). Skipper is Chris "Sharky" Miles. Decky that nearly got decapitated is Derek. Good dude. Fished with him in Kona.
The fish left some serious scarring on the deck, broke the latch to the cockpit door and gashed Derek's leg. He was lucky to survive it really! I heard the story, but until now, had not seen the video.

I would say thats a release, who gives a s**t if the mate touched the leader , the fish was in the boat.

I'm with you Alex, the fish was in the boat. I saw another video a few years back where the guys didn't get off so easy. These guys were lucky it didn't land behind the chair.
