Anders,
There is no bad time to fish the sebastian area. I alway catch more fish in the summer, but I may be the exception. Inshore it's pretty much a dawn and dusk thing in the summer. Other times of the year you can get a little more time in, but generally inshore (sebastian river and indian river)sebastian I'm off the water by 10 am. Like Bert said, if you hit the mullet run on the beaches right the fishing can be phenomenal in the fall. I have seen acres upon acres of 100+ pound tarpon rolling within a quarter mile of the beach with some straggling fish coming in almost within casting range of the beach. Of course there are sharks following these schools too, as well as huge crevalle. Wind becomes more of a factor in spring and fall then in the summer, but there are always areas to fish if that is the goal. By the way, I went to college in Melbourne so I used to fish the area alot, and still get down there a couple times a year. It's definitely my favorite part of florida, except potentially the keys. But that's much more tropical. Drew
