What wind/wave height for charter to cancel?

Scheduled to head out of OC on a charter Monday on a 60+' boat. Forecast now says 15-25kts waves 6-9'. At what point will a charter cancel or would you recommend postponing? Most of the guys have fished before but won't enjoy it if can't stand up.

How will the ride be on a 60+' in these conditions, both running and trolling?
Figuring that's a long 60-90 mile run in thoses conditions even in big boat.
    Thanks

15-25kts...If its 15, you're ok..25, you're getting the shit kicked out of you. We usually stay at the dock on a forecast of 15-25, and we only have a short run out of Hatteras. No way in hell I would go 60-90mi. in those conditions...but thats just me. Also, those forecasts frequently change, sometimes hourly! I would wait on canceling as long as possible. They call for 15-25 now, but tomorrow it may be light and variable!

We run outta Va Beach and 15-25 we look really hard at it and then the second is are there other boats going to make a go of it as well usally if were looking at 20 sustained we'll give the charter options of nearshore, inshore, or rebooking. It just isn't fun unless your knee deep in tuna.

THE SEASON IS LATE, THEY MAY CANCEL OR STICK THEIR NOSE OUT. HEDGE YOUR BET, DRINK ORANGE CRUSHES TILL 2 AM THEN YOU WILL BE GOING.
You must be fishing with Capt. Willie.

I'd go if there was a really good bite. Trolling in 6-9s sucks.

I like to think that it's "charter" fishing. Not commercial fishing. It is supposed to be fun! Fishing in any size boat in more than 6 ft seas is not fun.

we generally leave it up to the customers, although we normally only have a 15-20 mi run. If the customers are cool with it, put on the yellows and gitterdun. I would plan on going, better to be ready to roll then be caught unprepared

    15 - 25

Cancel. Ninety miles in 6+ foot seas can be a 5+ hour run. Even more depending on the direction of the weather. Does not leave you a whole lot of fishing time. Boat, gear and passengers will get a beating. Sixty feet gets pretty small out there.
