What are typical catch numbers in WMO?

Can anyone comment on whether this is a good or bad year as far as total catch in the WMO? I've never followed it before this year, but it seems like the bite is rather good.

More than 1/3 of the boats are on the scoreboard after only two days. Is this typical?

How many billfish in total do they usually catch?

Also, many thanks to the SFC staff for their excellent coverage. I hope the WMO people realize the valuable exposure you provide.

Here's the billfish catch count for last year http://www.whitemarlinopen.com/conse...n/catch-counts

I don't see the totals for this year yet, but it does seem higher. The scales have definitely been busier with tuna and dolphin
