What colors in the Sluggo seem to work best for med. BFT's?

Anybody had luck trolling up any other offshore species?

    These really nice and lethal!
Make your own very easy & make some drop shot rigs w/ the sluggo's many ways to do them seawitch w/ clear tube like you have seen or bullet lead style & tandem rig snell knot works best with these

I think this photo answers the question:

These are Bass Kandy Delights and we break them out whenever we see sand eels on the deck.

J.T.- From talking to the guys here in Mass, the bone (White)and the bubblegum (Pink) seem to be the top producers. Although, a good friend of mine just caught a 75" BFT on the Grape (Black/Purple) the other day.

So far the pelagic species caught include- Blufin Tuna, Yellowfin Tuna, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish, and Striped Marlin. Another friend had a Blue MArlin tear one to pieces this winter in the Bahamas. No confirmed Whitey's yet, but mark my word these rigs are going to slay the whitey's this summer!!

Also, the reason I picked the Hogy over sluggos for the "Sniper" is for one main reason, ease of re-rigging. The Hogy's utililize thier patented rigging slot which allows for quick on the fly re-rigging. Sluggo's require cutting off the crimp and use a hollow rigging needle to re-rig, this just doesn't cut the mustard for me when the bite is on, fumbling around with crimpers and rigging needles . Alot of thought and R/D went into making this rig with the finest components available. These rigs just catch fish, period. Another advantage to this rig while imitating a sand eel, half beak, or ballyhoo, an angler can still use a standard J-hook when fishing tournaments verses a circle hook. While I do like circle hooks and inexperienced angler can mess up a bite real quick, just a side thought.

Are you guys adding chin weights or anything to the sluggos so they swim upright and don't spin?

I once learned from an old charter captain about the red and white feathers. He told me to go buy some new ones, then rip out 3/4's of the feathers. Run them 5-15 ft off the transom. Works great to this day.
