Home Port: Ocean City, MD
Best Catch: The little guy in the pic!
Occupation: That's a good question?
I guess the strangest things I ever heard was when Bill on the Squidnation.com boat told me and his brother that we couldn't have any alcohol on the boat. Bill was grateful later that day when he found that we had smuggled some on!!!

Wasn't there a pic posted earlier this summer of a boat that ran up in the marsh? All you could see was a little trench the prop dug out and a 20-some foot boat sitting in the marsh. Was that you???

when I was a kid working on my clamboat. Facing into the wind, working a good drift when I heard the loudest sound come up behind me - scared the crap out of me.

A guy in a seaplane had landed behind me and taxied right up to my boat -- looking to buy some clams. I almost dropped my rake in the water. Those things are loud!

Florida panther scream when I was trying to sneak up on some turkeys in the dark in the glades when I was about 18 yrs old. The hair is still standing up on the back of neck.

I have two also.

Doing an overnighter on the old Anthony's Ark we started hear this little thump thump thump on the bottom of the boat and then we'd hear a big THUMP. figured it after about a minute of panic and engine room inspection. It was a school of baitfish trying to hide under the boat and porpoise attacking them right under the boat and smacking the hull with their tail.

The other was on an overnighter with Captain Dan lampe. It was just him and I and I was suppose to be on watch while he was alseep. We had the alarm on the radar but I guess it failed. I heard some disco music and thought I was dreaming. I looked up to see a carnival cruise ship pass up at about 100yards. oooppps.

Mine is similar. Thought I heard one of my motors whistling and after searching all over, I found what the sound was... It was the whistle of an inverted plastic vodka bottle with a flame arrester funneling straight vodka into the gullet of squidman. He and Marston blew through a full gallon in route to the fishing grounds out off hatteras one morning... its a one hour ride.
