What is the purpose of this........

little nipple? Purchased these from a member a while back and was curious what purpose the nipple served and where it should be in regards to the hook when pulling. They are SEA TALS and have some great action.

So far I havnt used them. Forgot I had um. The nipple has me baffled though. I thought it might have something to do with making the lure stable at speed. Maybe somebody will know.

They are cool lookin though.

they pass all the way thru the eye of the hook to keep the grub from slipping back on the hook

Depth they run flood the body ? guess in the dark here but seems to make sense in my mind

I agree with Bwana Bill. From the looks the nipple is attached to the grub then stuck thru the plastic flat piece that is attached to the lure head. Thus keeping the grub from sliding down said hook.
