    If you look at the base it has a large button/lever on top. You push on that and it realeases the base to swivel out, then it locks in to the deployed position. Push the buttom again and flip them up.

    The poles are not locked into the base at all but mine were drilled and pinned to prevent them from coming out but I believe it is overkill. But it gives piece of mind.

    funny tht comment dory. thanks for all the help. the close up of the bases are exactly what i was looking for. dont have many pics of my boat yet, but i'll get some on here.

    I'm also using Lee OH277T T-Top 1 1/2"ID Outrigger Holders with Lee AP3716XS 16' 1 1/2"OD Outrigger Poles, and I'm quite pleased with them. I drilled the base and put a pin through the poles so they won't slide too far down into the holder and jam, making them hard to remove.

    Here's a picture showing them deployed and another from the under side showing how they are mounted.
