Looks like a Speckled Hind. Where was it caught?

very very tasty if local regs allow you to keep it.
Gutted and gilled, cooked whole on the grill....
Speckled hind (Epinephelus drummondhayi) is correct. A tropical Atlantic grouper

Dinner.... but speckled hind is more descriptive... Also known as strawberry grouper

called Rock Hinds in the Bahamas, sometimes rock-fish. very tasty
Very interesting name to boot! Thank you all !
but the same fish. They live up in the tops of our oil rigs and sometimes you can catch a bunch of them against the legs. I usually catch several every mangrove slaying trip. I used to catch them as a kid off the bow of the party boat casting speck rigs tipped with squid up inside the rig. Delicious is right!
