Pole position sounds like a good boat, but why is everything new or rebuilt around 2005? There is always a deal out there. I know of one last fall from kent island was a 2000 or 2001 43 ocean with Volvos that sold for $279K. All it needed was a real good cleanup. Ocean is probably the best way to go because the are plenty out there and you can find one in the shape you want. If you look at Topaz you will probably just try to find one. Personally 42 Bertram. It will not broach as bad as Jersey built boats going downsea.

Im selling my 38' Ronin convertible $130,000

This is a 38' conv with 3208ta Cat's in excellent shape. I have a detailed log on all work from replacng engine mounts, stuffing boxs right to the injectors, pumps etc. Overall measures 40' w/pulpit. Underwater LED lighting combined with her custom finished teak interior to die for. Completely refinished soft leather couch, chairs, drapes and much more. I can list everything but it would take me quite a while. Cockpit rigging sink/tackle center with a cockpit freezer and in floor livewell. Large fishboxes. 8 Kw Onan genset. 30" LCD flatscreen. This is a 39' Hatteras hull. Ride is solid and cruises 22 mph, tops 25mph on the new Raymarine C-120 4kw open array radar/plotter/sounder. If your in the market for a complete fishing machine that has everything you need in top shape this is worth looking at. I can tell you she will handle just about any seas and bring you home salely. Im moving up to get a larger vessel to travel thru the Keys, Virgin islands, otherwise I wouldnt even think of selling. I looked at alot of lets say less than good boats from Montauk to Ft Lauderdale before I bought this one 6 years ago. Engine room is immaculate. We spend weekends on her all summer and have plenty of room.
email me larzee58@aol.com or my cell is 856-506-6960. Good luck in your search.

FS: 1959 40' Whiticar Shearwater FBSF

If any of you have an interest in a 1959 40' Whiticar Shearwater flybridge sportfisherman, please contact me via email privately to discuss it. The boat has been undergoing a complete refit from the keel up, I've invested over $300k into it, and its still not finished. I'm in over my head, I don't have the time nor the energy to devote to it any longer. I hate to see her go, but at the same time I hate to see her just sit.

Email me at HSL1048@gmail.com for all of the pertinent information. This is the perfect opportunity for someone looking for a pedigreed custom boat with history, at a stage just waiting for your personalized finishing touches.

    Thanks,

    Harry

if that is the Hobo that came from Pirates Cove a couple of years back then be careful. It is a real pretty boat with a great history, but in my opinion it is not an offshore boat. In nc it was used for very near shore/sound fishing and bridge stripers. Again, i am not knocking the boat but I docked next to it for six years and became friendly with the owner (at that time) capt. matt. good luck

ps. if i confused this hobo with the other hobo i am talking about then i am sorry

My boat is not the HOBO. It was originally christened as the Ondine, and then renamed Anchor Too. HOBO, the 38' Whiticar, was purchased by John Bayliss, and he has since resold her if I understand correctly. She was a heavily chartered, "well used" old girl in need of an ungodly amount of work. My boat was in much better shape to start with, and is no comparison now.

Look at a late 80's early 90's 50' Bertram. I run one with 8v92's and it may not be a fast boat 20-24knts. depending on level of fuel and currents. It is an extremely comfortable riding boat and very solid ride. It is a good family boat and will always get you home! Available for around 200k. in this market!
