    depends on what you are dragging it for. If wahoos are fairly common go wire...if bite offs are few and far between mono.

    I think he was asking more along the lines of what bigones was using for leader. Then he was going to reccomend the style of hook to match the leader.

    Generally speaking, I favor open-gap hooks like 7731 for marlin vs. close gap southern style tuna hooks like the 7691 for wahoo/tuna/mahi.

    We have caught bills with the 7691 (our all-purpose trolling hook) but the 7731 seems to work better when dragging hoo's for bills.
