    Chuck,

I know they have perhaps caught more fish than any other simple lure known to man..........But, does anyone still pull them? Thinking of the circle hook thing, dink baits, white marlin rods only, so many things that have become a necessity to fish where we used to just pull..........Can you see the famous green machine going away?
It may become the "redheaded step child" of everyones tackle box.

    Oooop's, Thats not chuck.

    It May Be Me,

But I have give them many chance's and I don't remember catching anything on them. I have used other plastic lure's in the same place (mostly behind a spreader bar or bird, down the center) and done well. I know alot of the "northern" guy's have done really well with them. I'm not downing the bait, I know way too many fish have been iced down because of them, just not me. Frank

I can honestly say that we have fished Green machines everyday. Whether it was the standard green or in rainbow. I think its more evolution...instead of pulling a single we pull 8 now, spreader bars. The green machine style lure, can only be described in two words "Bad ass".

I've re-skirted plenty of GMs in different colors. If fishing is slow, it's usually the next lure to get wet, if one isn't wet already. Caught plenty of whites, tuna, & dorado on them. If our charter is from NJ/NY, I always have one in the spread.
Luck is what happens when preparation meets opportunity.
