What blank for Avet Hx-wide

So my fiance bought me an avet HXW as a gift and i want to custom make a rod for it. I think i have decided to go with something in the 6 foot range, all roller guides, and obviously make it some sort of trolling rod to go in place of one of our penn 30 stand up setups. MY question to you guys the experts, i have been searching for awhile looking for a rod blank to match this reel, so any advice on which one you would choose would help. I originally wanted to pair this reel with a jigging style rod, like say a Trevala, but i have changed my mind and want something more stout for a reel that puts out 27lb of drag.

Reel will be loaded with 600 yrds 80lb braid and floro topshot.

*Aftco rollers, Aluminum aftco butt and reel seat, foam foregrip if this helps....

Thanks in advance.

Boss,
I would go with a calstar. That will be a sweet setup. Built all rollers and a aftco unibutt will make that perfect! Its an expensive outfit, but one that will last a lifetime.

Flat, Thanks man, calstar was one of my picks, but i am unfamiliar with their different blank models specifically the stiffness. Any particular model blank jump out at you when teaming it up with the HXW? And yes, i know it will be a bit pricey, but whenever i build something of my own i use the best stuff i can find, use it hard, and take good care of it, and in the past, my stuff has always returned the favor. Thanks for the input so far, any other insight??

I would take a look at the Calstar 765 series, maybe go with the Graphiter 765 L or ML. All the the blanks I used from them have been very strong and durable. They take more then what they are reated for. Either one should work. I always liked the tapers of the 765s and the 700s. The 800s feel weird to me. Just my opinion though.

I use a Kevin Bogan custom rod with my HXW with 80 lb Jerry Brown. The blank is a calstar 700hx. Its a great set up for deep dropping for tiles and wreckfish. I also use it for bigger tuna and swords.

for a 6' rod the GF7465M will work for you 27# of drag.
for a little less drag the 760L is fun.
if you ever get around this way, i have alot of these to try.
a good way to compare, before you buy blind.

I was also thinking the GF7465M as Paul mentioned. Another option is the GF7465H which is a little stiffer in the tip.

Thanks for the compliment and any help I can give, just ask!
