A West Palm Beach report

I got over to WPB for a day last week to go fishing with my family. They were supposed to be going to the bahamas but due to that 2 week blow we had, they had to stay in West Palm. We had some great dolphin action though. Most of the trips were leave the dock at 8 and be back for lunch.





Then we got one of those big Jacks while we were cleaning fish. He weighed 32lbs.

Nice catch.
I am heading down to Singer Island on Monday after the South Jersey Shark Torney and can use some tips on Fla. fishing. I fish out of Cape May and we usuly drag plugs, daisy chains, spreder bars, and asorted luhrs for dolphin and small tuna. Will this work in Fla. as well or do you only drag ballys? I almost forgot, what speed do you run for them down there, we run 5 to 8 KT for them up here. My father has a 30' Grady I get to play with and he does not know how to fish.

We dont drag spreader bars or Daisy chains because the cudas will tear them up. We were doing the best on lure/bally combos. The big ones were hitting blue/white feather/bally combo. 5-8 is a good speed. cedar plugs were getting a lot of fish too. The black and red billy bait was getting a lot of fish too.
