We are fine here in Hatteras

Irene came a calling, and did a little damage, but overall from Buxton South, Hatteras Island is in good shape.

Avon north however is a different story, they got alot of soundside floodin, and the road is broken in several places.

The Bite Me is back together and ready to roll, if they will allow visitors back to Hatteras, heck they have not even let Residents who evaced back yet.

Anyway, just wanted to chime in and tell everyone we are still here!

Glad to hear you guys are all good. Rodanthe sounds like they all got beat up pretty bad. Did Jeffery's house make out ok? I got out of there just in time....

    Glad To Hear It Jay,

I was worried when that wind shfted, you guy's were gonna be toast. Still haven't figured out why the wind tide didn't react as it usually does. For whatever reason, I'm happy to see you guy's were spared this one! Kind of a mess over here on this side of the Sound in places. A buddy of mine called from Stumpy Point this morning, 21 inches of water in the house, the berm washed down and some other homes are off their foundations. Frank

    Jay,
As soon as they will let me on the Island, I'll be down to clean up my property. Send me a pm if I can bring anything to you.
