on this trip i never used the long lense that I usually do. I used a Nikon DX
af-s 18-55 mm

On typical trips my camera will be set up with a F-s Nikkor 55-200 mm lense.
I can usally get some shots of the billfish jumping from quite a distance and then I will switch lenses to the 18-55 for the shots close to the boat. There is a lense 18-200 that would ommit the lense switch which can be a pain in the ass especially in a hard reverse with water everywhere.
