Our first year participating in the MAD event. We support our troops and couldn't think of a better way to do it by taking a couple of these heroes out for a day's fishing.
There were 5 of us on the Big Mama. Myself, Matt (bambam), my 13 year old son and our 2 military guys Mike & Mike.

Pretty snotty heading out to the stream. Put the lines in 5 miles short of the Blackjack. The water was a little dirty looking and trolled towards the steeples. As soon as the water cleared up we had a short strike. Had 4 short strikes on the J hook rigs and Matt switched to the super Huff stinger rig, which enabled us to land a nice wahoo.
Hooked a white marlin which came unglued. Landed 5 skipjack tuna & false albys.

Had a fantastic day on the water and couldn't think of a better cause.

Did 171 miles and averaged 2.44mpg
