Glassman, Just curious, is maneuvering on them in forward any different than backing down (other than the obvious direction the boat is moving)? When doing the sweep, or circling up the bite, sure you lose some line in the beginning of the circle, but at the end of it you are cranking your ass off as the boat is going after the fish in forward.

You are lucky to have fished with Bubba. I fished along side of him when he was running the Monterey Tijereta in Venezuela (that boat is currently the Super Crew out of Cape May- I fished a few days on it when it was the Eagle's Nest out of OC) He is a master of the game, no doubt about it.

Great place with the pacific ocean as your backyard.

LOL - Just still happen to have that late night safety business card in my wallet for when you have to tell the cabbie where 'home' is at

club del mar is an excellent place, i can second that we stayed there the week after jbones left excellent view of the ocean, what room did you stay in? haha stupid question but just curious.. and well stated in the fact how fast a sail bite can turn on and off.. trying to get as many shots at sails possible we fished aboard the mis-behavin with captain dave didnt have a bite until 12 and it turned on for 45 minutes we went 8 for 10. i went 3 for 3 on hooking my own fish and its a perfect place to practice on your own for getting in ready for mid atlantic canyons circle hooks addition.

    nice video by the way!

Man I don't know how I missed this thread, but I'm glad it popped back up! Looks like an absolute blast. Great video and pics...by the way, were they concerned about a weight limit on the jungle zip lines?

LOL yes they were and yes the guides did have to tighten a few bolts after that crew got done....they also had to reach down a few times and lift the big 6'6" 280 guy named Fergie that we had with us. I def don't think this group would have been OSHA approved. They even told the guys DONT LET GO OF THE ROPE or you'll spin like a helicopter....whats one of the brainiacs do...of course lets go of the rope and spun like helicopter all the way down whacking his helmut on each pass of the rope. He's lucky he's not hurt or didn't get his oakleys knocked off his face

Here is Fergie in action about two years ago on the zipline. Now mind you this guy / Beast is a dead eye on the bow and arrow and just went professional on the bowhunters circuit. Here he is training with his sister and cousins.....unaware that this was caught on film

Sorry Fergie....you owe your sister one big time. Congrats on your big win in Vegas this weekend !!
