whos boat is that? after watching the vid a few times its a nice set up. i take it an ex lobsterboat or something along those lines?

if you have any info on it and some pics i would really be interested.

Thanks Demolition_x (judging by your name you probably got a kick out of the bombs...lol), and welcome to the site. "Release" is a Northern Bay 37'. It was built in 2000 with giant tuna fishing in mind. It's a great, stable platform that you can sit on anchor in some nasty stuff and still be comfortable. Not sure what other questions you have, but I'd be happy to answer any that you have.

Yeah, it's a single screw (volvo diesel) and moves pretty good- cruises around 22kts. I'll see if I can find some good pics- is your email under your profile?

what hp is that volvo. thats pretty good for a single screw.


i looked at a Lang 28foot with a single screw and don't think it could push that boat better than 18knts

It's a 430hp. Yeah, it's a great hull. Pretty quick for a downeast style.

I have a friend who is selling his Northern bay 36, single diesel forget HP, but can get more details, I think it is a 2003. He landed a capts. job on a 61 Viking and doesnt get to use it as much as he thought. I can get all the details for anyone who is interested

We've caught four now on stand up (one on the 50W and the others on 80's), and we have a good amount of stock fighting footage. We haven't put it together like these yet. That will come in the future. You fish for giants around here? Nice too see someone else from the area.
