I just started doing a few videos and I have Ulead 11.1 and Pinnicle studio 11 and they both are easy to use. As with any software there is always a learning curve. The computer has alot to do with how well the software works.I have found that my old computer was not up to the task but the new one is smokin fast while doing videos!!...Mark

If you have a Mac, it's Final Cut Express 4 for $199.

I have done all of mine to this point with windows movie maker...nice thing there is it is FREE....good place to start obviously. It is easy to use but as previously said on this thread....nothing fancy. You may need to get IMTOO encoder software which runs about $30 but will convert any video to any format...priceless software
I am however switching very soon to Adobe Creative Suite 3 which has Premier Pro in it. I have a friend that works for ADOBE which will help break the $1799 sticker shock a bit![]()
Good luck and FLAT and HOLWACHOGOT are genius boyz with this stuff....That guy box aint bad either![]()

I almost purchased adobe premere 4.0. but after reading reviews I don't think its the way too go.
sunburn adobe is the bomb. Originally a ported to the mack platform (I believe)then ported to the windows platform. I guess they knew where the majority of the users were. There are hundreds of plug ins for that product. Some free ...some purchase. Windows movie maker is basic but does not need a super computer to run the software. There are some add ons available. Pixcilan (sp?) is one. There are others also. If u r just beginning to edit, use the free windows version. Understand time lines and how they work, splicing video and audio clips. One tip for the day. Import the video tracks and audio tracks in the time line. Work the video to the music splicing clips and pictures, transitions together. Then remove the audio track from the time line. Then add the audio track the second time to the time line with out all the splices that took place editing. It makes a nice smooth music video. End of tips

imovie. It comes standard on a Mac. Easy to use and you cant beat the price. You can convert PAL to NTSC, music, titles, etc. send it to idvd and burn the dvd. All without having to buy any extra software. Mac is the way to go.
