This nose rig does do well on the long riggers. It also works great as a pitch.

I have a question, for those running ballyhoo with something such as an ilander, would this rig then not work...i like the idea of the fish not washing out, as well as the simplicity of rigging the hoo and the circle hook, but would one need to use the J hook method if you want to run something such as the ilander sea witch etc... in front?

Is this rig to mainly target marlin or will it catch tuna as well? Just trying to get an idea for what this rig is specifically designed for, if anything.

It was kinda hard to see how the wire went through both gill plates. Did you wrap the wire around the head & tuck it behind the gill plates, or did it go in one gill plate & out the other?

That rig is to run a naked ballhoo, you would hve to rig an ilander the "normal" way with a "j" hook. I would think that the rig with the circle hook ran naked with a ballyhoo would work just fine for tuna but its mainly for marlin.
